9 am Children's Ministry

Welcome to the Children’s Ministry Programs at 9:00am!

All children should go to the children’s programs located on the bottom floor of Bethany Covenant church when you arrive for the 9am service, if your child would like to attend these programs.

Nursery is designed around a dynamic and interactive video series called Boz. This series highlights different Bible stories. For the older babies & toddlers, a simple 5 minute lesson is led by the teacher and repeated for an entire month. Our goal is to teach each child through natural processes some foundational lessons about God. After the lesson, a snack is offered. Children are welcome to bring their own cups from home for each class.

Preschool Programs are called “Praise and Play”. These programs are geared toward children whose ages range from 2 years 9 months through 5 years, or Kindergarten. Children typically move up from the nursery when the parents and staff sense that the child is able to participate in more directed activities. A child will move on from Praise and Play when he/she enters First Grade.

Our Preschool program is broken into two classrooms: ages 3 & 4, and age 5 & Kindergarten. Both classes offer structured Bible lessons, a craft, games or playtime and a snack. Playtime is set-up to encourage creativity, sharing, taking turns and having fun. Children play with age-appropriate toys. Children are also are invited to participate in teacher-directed activities such as painting, playing with play dough, or they may listen to music.

Children in grades 1-4 are taught in our exciting Children's program that meets during our 9:00 AM service. Our 9 am program is called “Connect 1234”, and will feature a new bible story every 3-4 weeks. These lessons will be taught using a variety of mediums. Classes teach Bible lessons using drama, games, cooking, Art and science to connect your child to God’s Word.

Club 56 is a Sunday school program for 5th and 6th grade students. We focus on the Old Testament and Bible skills in “year one”, and New Testament and applying God’s Word to our lives in “year two”.

Your child's safety is our first concern at Bethany Covenant Church. All parents will be asked to fill out a registration card upon their child's first visit. Parents should pick up their children promptly after the adult worship service has ended.
